Denni David is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Therapeutic Placement Specialist striving to provide hope and support to her clients. She has been providing clinically informed and highly customized options to families for over fifteen years, compassionately listening to their narratives and guiding them into effective, long-term sustainable solutions. She skillfully delivers relevant clinical information and directs families toward long-term success.
Her experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor provided her with extensive knowledge of the clinical implications of the families she worked with. She holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from the University of Denver, and a Master’s in Education and Community Counseling from Loyola University in Chicago.
As a mother of two adults who experienced their share of difficulties as adolescents, Denni understands firsthand how a child’s struggles can impact the entire family. Her own family’s journey inspired her desire to help others in similar circumstances, including non-conforming people (affirmative care), neuro-diverse adolescents and young adults, autism spectrum disorders and challenging/defiant behaviors. She possesses a deep knowledge of complex clinical presentations, family dynamics and a vast array of potential solutions.
Through her work, Denni noticed many of her clients had experienced varying degrees and types of trauma. She became interested in the role of these traumatic events in their current psychological and physical health, and, for the last five years, has regularly attended conferences and training programs with leading experts in trauma research and treatment.
She keeps up to date on the constant progress being made in adolescent and young adult development research, as well as brain research. Denni believes that being well versed in various treatment modalities enables her clients to receive the best possible treatment. She is well aware of how individual circumstances impact the type of treatment that is right for each person and considers this fully when making a recommendation or referral. Of course, strict confidentiality is assured at all times.
Denni does not receive compensation from any schools or programs.
