Today’s rapid pace, unending choices and daunting peer pressure can plunge adolescents (12-18) into a downward spiral. When teens fail to thrive, lack motivation to change, and/or behave destructively, the teen and family suffer. Adolescents struggle in one or more of the following ways:

Young Adults
Our current culture has created an epidemic of “failure to launch” young adults (typically 18-25) who experience a significant lack of maturity and motivation. As a result, many of these individuals have difficulty emerging as independent functioning adults. Young adults struggle in one or more of the following ways:
- Depression/anxiety/bipolar disorder
- Low motivation and immaturity
- Lack of a sense of purpose or direction
- Insufficient independent living skills
- Autism spectrum disorders/developmental disabilities
- Significant mood changes
- Experiencing recent or past trauma
- Identity/autonomy/self reliance
- Low self -esteem
- Underperforming academically
- LD/ADHD/organizational challenges
- Addiction: substance abuse/technology
- Gender dysphoria
- Legal issues
Adults
With the increase in the overuse of technology and the prevalence of substance use, depression and anxiety, it is not uncommon for adults (25+) to be incapable of living productive lives. Getting adults to the appropriate setting can produce a meaningful difference. Adults struggle in one or more of the following ways:
- Depression/anxiety/bipolar disorder
- Autism spectrum disorders/developmental disabilities
- Chronic and pervasive mental health concerns
- Poor self-care: hygiene/weight/eating habits
- Experiencing recent or past trauma
- Inability to obtain or sustain employment
- Addiction: substance abuse/technology
- Withdrawal/isolation from family and or friends
- Irresponsible/impulsive/damaging decision-making
- Pervasive feelings of low self-worth or shame
- Significant conflict or avoidance in key relationships
- Pattern of lying or manipulation
